EMERY -------------- Remember those walls I built Well, baby they're tumbling down And they didn't even put up a fight They didn't even make up a sound Back once again, the market seemed to be her favorite place to spend time now. Ever since she'd met up with Andrew, and they'd confessed their feelings for one another, her family had noticed how - up-beat she had been in the last week or so. She smiled easier, and always got up on time, which was a first for her. Lips parted into a soft smile, as she ran a gentle hand through her brown locks. Today, her maid had taken the natural wave it had, and enhanced it into curls. They bounced along her shoulders in ringlets, while most of it was up neatly on the back of her head, how a lady's hair should be. Nose wrinkled slightly as she shifted her journey pace. Honestly - she was now heading towards a middle part of the market. Where maidens and knights went - where she could - hopefully blend in, and run into Andrew there. That's how it usually was.
She didn't mind though. They could only see each other once in awhile, she just hoped Alexandra, a servant in the Delaford household had delievered it to him. Hopes rose high as she thought of seeing Lord Andrew Delaford again. It seemed every time she saw him - it was as if seeing him for the first time all over again. Brown eyes gleamed with happiness, as she sat down in the corner at a table, eyes narrowing towards anyone, man or woman who dared to look her way. Thinking of bringing her dog the next time she came, or both maybe. Give her a little more sense of security, knowing Adonis and Aphrodite would do everything in their power to make sure that their master was safe and sound.
Soft lips pursed as the moments leaked by, and she got a drink of water for herself, determined to spend some more - quality time with Andrew today. Her mother was worried, she had a good reason to be too. Her first-born daughter sneaking off almost everyday to the market, and for no particular reason too. A woman of her age and stature should be with the man who was courting her. The man who she'd probably be spending the rest of her life with. The mere thought of marrying Alexander Huntington the fourth, her stomach knotted uncomfortably. Though, the thought of pledging herself in marraige vows to Delaford was much more appealing. Smiling softly, Emery looked up as her prince Charming entered.

Lord Andrew Delaford Lord Andrew Delaford had been spending almost every day out, mostly at the market, although that's not what he told his mother. He had been making up lies, mostly that he was going to practice his archery in the woods, just so he could see his sweet, forbidden love, Miss Emery Norwood. Ah, yes. She was like his intoxication. Every time he was around her he felt like he had a natural high, almost like nothing he had ever felt before. It was like an aurora surrounded her and Andrew would do anything to be around her, to touch her.
Early this morning, Lady Delaford's maid had given Andrew a letter from Emery. Lord Andrew took it from the maid's hand and went to his chamber, where he knew no one would dare bother him. He sat down at his desk, a smile plastered to his face, and began to read the letter. It entailed details of where and when Lord Delaford should meet Lady Norwood; presumably, at the market. Upon reading the parchment, he quickly went to his mother and made up a lie to go out.
Andrew grinned, remembering this morning's events as he walked cautiously into the middle part of the market. He tried not to make it look too obvious that he was searching for someone, especially his father's enemy's only daughter. Andrew's bright blue eyes spied her. How could he miss her when she looked so different from everyone else?
Lord Delaford walked up to her, not directly so he didn't draw attention to himself. "Miss Norwood," he whispered to her as he brushed passed her. "The alleys aren't a very nice place to be." He winked at their secret message. This one meant something along the lines of 'let's meet in the alley'. He grinned before heading off to the alley closest to them. [/blockquote]

EMERY -------------- Remember those walls I built Well, baby they're tumbling down And they didn't even put up a fight They didn't even make up a sound Her fingers knitted themselves together, as the young woman vividly remembered the story of lies she'd woven her mother. Today, she was sure, she'd used the excuse that she was thinking about studying some more Italian in town with a scholar. Course, her mother would most likely just tell her to have someone come to the house, Emery was having difficulty with getting out of it now, but both she and Andrew knew that one day - they'd have to reveal to their parents they were together. Together - her and Andrew. That thought raised her spirits, and made her feel as if she was floating in the air. Adjusting the ringlets about her face, brown eyes looked up eagerly when the door opened, and Andrew entered the area. Remaining silent, watching other people warily, they didn't seem to notice him too much.
Thankful for the privacy, she gave him a soft smile as he approaced her, his sweet, yet strong voice entering the air. Sending pleasant shivers down her spine, the young woman nodded slightly, and let him have a head start so they wouldn't be seen exiting the place together. Eyes flickered down as she exited the premise, and headed towards the alley once Andrew Delaford had disappeared into it. Shortly following him, Miss Norwood was unable to hide her happiness, it felt as it were radiating off her, much like the aura that seemed to be around Andrew when she was with him. It was one of the reasons she just couldn't get enough of being with him.
Approaching him, she greeted him, "Lord Delaford." and smiled lightly, before shortly pressing her lips to his for a moment, the familiar jolt and butterflies appearing in her stomach anytime they touched. The brunette tilted her head softly, craddling his cheek, seeing his eyes, "You're worrying....what's wrong, Andrew?" she inquired, curious to see what was ailing her forbidden, secret love that no one but them and Alexandra knew about. Sighing softly, Emery murmured, "How have you been, then?" she smiled, standing close, glad they had privacy in the alley.

Lord Andrew Delaford Lord Delaford's lips quickly touched Emery's soft ones. Even in that small moment, Andrew felt like the world stopped. Like Emery and him were the last remaining people in the world. That then got his mind thinking about how they would have to repopulate the world.
Andrew's mind snapped out of his daydream so he could answer his forbidden love's question. He shook his head. "Nothing," he told her, faking a smile. "Everything's fine."
OOC; sorry it's SO short, I'm just anxious to start working on the skin!

EMERY -------------- Remember those walls I built Well, baby they're tumbling down And they didn't even put up a fight They didn't even make up a sound As the two remained there, chocolatey-brown eyes lifted softly from their previous resting position on the walls, and to Andrew's crystalline blue ones. The young woman's hand raised and softly craddled his cheek and jaw bone, as they remained there in each other's arms, where it just felt - right. Sighing softly to herself, she then perked as he spoke. A frown flickered across slightly tan features, though she didn't say anything more. There was something else going on, and she was going to find out what - no matter what. Worried, she arched an eyebrow, though replied, "Ok then."
Shifting softly, she smiled weakly, she knew his smile had been fake. Lies beneath the gorgeous face she just couldn't get enough of. Pursing her lips slightly, she then tilted her head, and then inquired, "Why don't we go....?" she laced her arm with his, as if he were escorting her, and she lead them, cutting through the alley, "I know a place where we can go, and don't need to worry about anyone judging us for who we are." He probably knew where it was - the clearing they first met. First kissed. Emery shifted her pace, since Andrew had longer legs, therefore she had to adjust her pace, making her strides either longer, or just plain faster.

Lord Andrew Delaford Lord Andrew gladly took the arm of his fair, young flower, Emery. He cradled it softly in his own arm as they began to walk down the alley toward where they first, awkwardly, met. "Emery," Lord Delaford's hoarse voice began to enter the air, breaking the silence that had once been there, "sooner or later, you know, people are going to have to know about, well...us." And as soon as he said it he wanted to take it back. It was like when you got in trouble with your parents and they didn't say anything to you about it and you were just waiting for them to say something. Yeah, that's how it felt for Andrew.
"I mean, not right away!" He began to correct himself. Andrew stopped walking and turned to Lady Norwood. His tanned, muscular hands cupped Emery's small, delicate features as he began to speak again, "I'm not so sure if I want everyone to know about you...us, just yet." A grin began to tear at the corners of his lips as his baby-blue eyes began to twinkle.
He lifted his gaze from her pale lips to her beautiful, brown eyes. Lord Andrew felt his heart beginning to pour out from the bottom of his soul. The more time he had began to spend with Emery, the more he began to convince himself that there was a really, truly, one-in-a-million thing called true love. "I love you," he whispered before planting a gentle kiss on her lips.

EMERY -------------- Remember those walls I built Well, baby they're tumbling down And they didn't even put up a fight They didn't even make up a sound As the duo walked, Emery couldn't help but feel - content, like life was settling into its normal state. Well - mostly normal, as normal as it could be that she was in love with her father's enemy's son! That thought made her smile though, the thought of Andrew Delaford, and raised her attention to meet his gaze. Though, the moment he muttered her name, sending pleasant chills down her spine, Emery's entire body went rigid for a moment. People...knowing about them? She panicked for a moment. What would her parents do? Her father, mother, siblings? Everyone wouldn't be able to see what they had together, all because of a petty fight - most likely - years ago before they were even born. Anger ingnited, though she nodded solemnly, and mused, "Eventually."
Though, this secret with them would be discovered eventually - she knew. It was the fact of how her parents, and his parents would react. They already wanted her to be married off to Alexander Huntington IV, but who could help true love? Emery certainly couldn't, and though she did think Alexander to be a wonderful man - he just wasn't the same as Andrew was for her. He stopped suddenly, and Emery skidded to a stop, before looking to him silently as his hands cupped her features. Raising her own hands, she gently placed her hands over his, enjoying the rush she receieved every time they touched. "I agree, Andrew, I do...I'm just nervous for what my parents will do."
The young woman paused when Andrew said the three little words that meant so much coming from him. Who knew eight letters could mean so much? Smiling softly, she dropped it when their lips met. Molding her's onto his, the brunette melted into his arms - hardly realizing it. Shifting softly, she parted, and whispered back, as if not wanting the world to hear it, though it didn't matter much to her, "I love you as well, Andrew." she smiled weakly, and kissed him once more, "But....when do you think we should announce it?" she inquired, worry seeping into every fiber of her being. A trait she hated, but Andrew seemed to have noticed over the past few days, she was a big worry-wart.

Lord Andrew Delaford Andrew's glittering blue eyes met the beautiful brunette's eyes. He couldn't help but feel comfort in them. Maybe it was the way they seemed to sparkle whenever, despite what mood Emery was in. Or maybe it was the way they seemed to add a spark to their already flaming love. Whatever it was, Andrew hoped it would never go away, even when they grew old. That was a thought. Him and Emery growing old together. The thought brought a smile to his face. But what if things didn't work out for them? What if Emery was forced to marry Lord Huntington before she and him could make their intentions known to the world? Lord Delaford shuddered at this thought. He loved Emery, more than himself, he imagined, and seeing her with another man would send shivers down his spine and knots in his stomach.
Slowly, Andrew felt his soft, pale lips begin to move and words began to pour out from them in a sort of angelic whisper. "Emery, I love you as much as anybody could love anyone and if I know you as well as I think I do, you do, too. I know you care what your parents think and I do, too, but if there's one thing they've taught me, it's that you should follow your heart." Andrew ran a hand through his blond, sweaty hair. "God! I don't what to do!" He exasperated as he took a few steps back from Emery. He felt himself starting to perspire in the hot, early summer sun. "It's just, I wish we wouldn't have to suffer for something that happened before we were even born! It's ridiculous!" Lord Delaford yelled into the clearing.
Taking a few steps closer to Lady Norwood, Andrew's soft hands took a hold of her petite and lady-like waist. He pulled her closer to him and kissed her passionately on her lips, never wanting them to part. And for a moment, nothing else in the world mattered to him: not the fued, not his family, not even his own well-being. Right now, he just wanted to stand there and kiss the only lady that had ever captured his heart.

EMERY -------------- Remember those walls I built Well, baby they're tumbling down And they didn't even put up a fight They didn't even make up a sound The young woman's heart beat irratically in her chest. It was panicking over the thought of her parents forcing her hand into marriage with Huntington. Oh, Andrew knew, and she knew it mad him angry about that thought. Usually, once you were married, it was for life, unless your spouse died, or you did. Swallowing that thought away, Emery then shifted her attention to their surroundings, before back to Andrew as they walked in silence, him obviously thinking deeply about their dilemma. The best thing she could think of, was tell their parents soon, before Huntington came for her. Nibbling her bottom lip, she glanced around as she realized they were back in their own clearing. The one where Andrew had chased her to, till he knocked her off her feet - quite literally too.
Adjusting her corset, she listened to his frustration. The emotions rolled from him to her, and she hated that. Turning, the brunette craddled his features softly, and murmured, "We cannot change the past, Andrew." she kissed his nose softly, "But we can change the future." She sighed softly, eyes darkening slightly as she concentrated on what to do. Maybe - she wasn't sure. Perhaps they could speak to both their parents, she could bring Andrew over, and maybe Andrew could take her to meet his parents. That way, their parents would see how deeply in love they truly were. Her mother probably wouldn't believe her if she had told her she was in love with someone else. But, if they saw them together, maybe they could put their differences aside just for them?
Smiling softly at this thought, she then turned her features back to her lover. Watching his confused eyes, she shook her head softly. The way his eyes lit up with the passion of a fight, or their love, made her entire body melt almost. It did seem as if they were made to be with each other, which she was now starting to believe in. Pursing her lips softly, she was about to speak, before Andrew drew her in around her waist. It sent pleasant chills down her spine, as he did this. Letting him, she quickly wrapped her arms up and around his shoulders, drawing herself and him even closer together, if that was possible. They fit together perfectly. Their lips met, and as always, Emery swore she could feel her feet leave the ground behind.
As a few moments passed, before the need to breathe arose once more, Emery rested her forehead against his lightly. Kissing his nose solemnly, she whispered, letting the sounds of nature rush back to her, crushing down onto her ears like a tidal wave, "Andrew...we must tell my parents soon. They wish to marry me to Huntington before the end of this year." she whimpered, letting Andrew know she hated this. Molding her lips to his once more, Emery added, "I do love you, Andrew Delaford. More than the sun, stars and moon combined could love something. You are my life, now."
