EMERY -------------- With nothing but Sabotage the Card underneath her, it felt - right in a way. Usually with nothing to do, she'd find something, riding horses was one thing that always came to mind. Escaping her siblings, she urged the well-bred mare into a trot, hair bouncing along her shoulders. Finally, she didn't need to wear it up for once. Though, she did have some ties to put it up later if she felt the need to. Checking on them, she adjusted her white gown, careful not to get it dirty, though it could always get washed out. And she had on undergarments she could take off her over-dress if it came right down to it. Adonis and Aphrodite appeared, the two English setters' tails wagging. "You two may come as long as you know your way home and don't get into trouble." she mused, the two dogs whining gleefully.
Grabbing her things, she settled herself down, and headed out into the sunshine, enjoying the feeling of it on her skin. Granted her dress was white, but it went down past her ankles, how it was supposed to be. The sleeves were shorter, but this allowed her to move easier. As her pace brought her towards the forest, a once hasty pace paused suddenly. The forest was always so dark - but it was so beautiful at the same time. Smiling softly to herself, she then tucked a tendril of her hair behind her ear, and pressed on, approaching the towering trees, feeling the cooler temperature of the shade crawl over the grass and her shadow, then herself. The absence of the sunshine, the sensation was immediate, and she was tempted to remain in it and just sun-bask for awhile, until supper time, and rush back home.
Eyes wandered up the rough, brown bark, before turning back to see some people heading this way. Knowing her parents would most likely throw a fit if they saw her out here - alone. Though, technically she wasn't, her dogs were with her. Snapping her fingers calmly, she tied her hair up swiftly, the long brown locks done neatly, her corset causing air to escape her lungs that shouldn't. Grinning softly to herself, she then looked up to the trees once more, as Adonis took off after a rabbit. Laughing softly to herself, she called him back, just before hearing someone approach. Brushing it off, and patted the dogs softly on their silky heads, and murmured, "Return home, you two..." They both gave her a look. Bloody animals - they did know what she meant, but they didn't want to leave. Sighing softly, she added, cursing in Latin before adding, "Fine, you may stay."
Adjusting her dress, she then proceeded to approach the forest, seeing a trail start near where she had originally been. As people on horses galloped past, her nose wrinkled, before looking back to where Beautiful Sin was tied. Sighing softly, she made her way back to the black mare, and hopped on. (She was tied to a tree nearby to graze in shade) Sitting how a lady should - side-saddle - ugh...Miss Norwood lightly urged her into a soft trot, and snapped at the dogs, gently of course, "Adonis, Aphrodite, return home!" The two dogs gave her a look, though they then barked twice each, and bounded off, chasing each other back in the way of her estate. Hoping they'd get home safely, she turned back to Beautiful Sin, "Shall we, girl?" The large, Friesian mare nodded, and nickered.

Lord Andrew Delaford Lord Andrew Delaford, atop his beautiful black and white tobiano gelding, Chase the Rain, admired the beautiful greenery of the forest trail. The late morning sun beamed down through the leaves, creating an almost church-like stained glass effect against the forest floor. Andrew looked up at the bright leaves. He smiled, feeling the warmth of the early summer sun on his face. He closed his eyes for a moment, just basking in the light.
Silently, he coaxed the gelding along the winding path, towards the direction of the Delaford Estate. "Ah, Rain," he said to the calm horse. "Beautiful day, isn't it? Andrew smelled the sweet smell of oak and maple trees. He closed his eyes, letting his senses feel everything and anything.
This warm, cozy feeling was soon interrupted by the darkening of storm clouds overhead. "Not so great anymore," he grumbled, asking Chase the Rain to trot. "Another wonderful morning, ruined."
The movement of another rider up ahead on the path caught Lord Delaford's attention. He stretched his neck out and squinted his eyes, trying to get a better look at the mystery rider.
Feeling a sudden rush of adrenaline, Andrew placed on hand on his hip, feeling around for his sword; the other hand held the reins. With a quick kick of his heels, Chase the Rain began a full-out gallop. It wasn't long before the mystery rider was within fifty yards. [/blockquote]

EMERY -------------- As Beautiful Sin started to head into the trees, large mass carried by long, powerful legs. She was a magnificent creature - she always boasted about her mare. This mare was finely tuned, and had been bred twice, and maybe another time before she turned 12. Didn't want to ruin her bloodline too much. Her father had taught her how to handle horses and such since she was a child, and had had Beautiful Sin she was seven. Patting the mare's ebony flank softly, the young woman mused, "Let's hope the leaves will help protect us, Sin." the large beast snorted, before her ears flicked towards the sound of something. Following her mare's ears and attention, she grasped the reins, white form gleaming in the dappled sunlight that fell, and was soon snuffed out. Clouds were heading in. Rain would soon start within the hour.
A horse was galloping towards them - at full speed. Sin reared and whinnied, revealing her gender towards the rider and horse. When they didn't stop, the young woman's heart raced, "Go girl!" she kicked her into a full-out run, and the horse took off. Sin always loved playing hide and seek. She fell off the trail and into the trees, practically rubbing her smaller rider off. Leaning low, a soft giggle escaped her lips, as she coaxed her through the low-lying limbs, before approaching a creek. Couldn't be more than at least eight inches deep. Nickering, the Friesian galloped across, soaking the bottom of her rider's dress. Cursing in Latin, she glanced back, seeing the mysterious rider with his hand still resting on his sword. Was he going to kill her? What had she done?
Resisting the urge to scream, she did start rapidly breathing out of panic, as Sin then flung out her back legs, as if just in case the horse was behind her. The brunette suddenly yelped when her horse flew over a fallen log. Trotting to the side, her hooves hidden, Sin hid behind a thick layer of moss, rocks and tree limbs and leaves. Her breathing slowed, as the woman calmed her horse down, hoping they wouldn't be spotted. Brown eyes narrowed, seeing the back of the rider's head near the clearing they were by. Grinning coyly, she urged Sin into a trot, before a full gallop past the rider, a light laugh escaping her lips for some reason. Sin took into the field, and once on the opposite side of the rider, Miss Norwood turned her to face the rider, the mare snorted, bracing herself, while her rider clung on for dear life.
Though, rain suddenly started. A shriek built in her chest, though her shock soon sizzled it out. Miss Norwood's mouth hung open in shock, as the mare nickered at the rain. Shaking it off, Sin trotted around the rider, as the young woman's eyes locked onto his, her heart hammered, and her stomach felt as if it dropped to the ground and rolled around. He was gorgeous. And - her heart said to stop. Pausing, Sin got antsy, eyes rolling slightly, though her rider steadied her. Turning so their side was to the rider, she blamed the food she had this morning. Soaked to the bone by now, she eyed the rider calmly, before a force suddenly collided with her.

Lord Andrew Delaford Andrew, upon the other rider's dismount, saw the perfect timing to get into a real brawl. Andrew had never actually been in a real fight. Of course, he remembered that his friends and him use to wrestle around on the floor of his father's study, but that was years ago. Then, there was the time his sister and him had gotten into a fight. Shortly after, they got in trouble because it was "no way for a lord and lady to act". Nonetheless, Lord Delaford couldn't resist the urge to tackle the rider.
He quickly dismounted his tobiano gelding, jumping to the ground for the 16 hand high horse. He ran, almost at his fastest speed, and then, suddenly, he collided with a lady. A lady in a pale, white dress.
Andrew couldn't help but look into the girl's eyes as they lay there, on the gound in the middle of a clearing. He looked at the way her beautiful brown locks fell around her sophisticated face. His lips felt the urge to vanish inside her kiss and that's what he did.
Slowly, his hand cupped behind the lady's hand for support. He lifted her head closer to his; deftly, his boyish face closed the gap between their lips. He felt the warmth of her breath against his. Andrew's hazel green eyes glanced to and from the lass's lips to her eyes. He held his head there and Andrew felt his heart pause as he did what his mother would call impetuous and not lordlike. He kissed her. [/blockquote]

EMERY -------------- Her feet hit the ground - and she immediately regretted it. Maybe she should have stayed on Beautiful Sin, but with the mare between them, she hoped that would help her chances of getting away. Though, as her eyes remained fixed on him, her fear started to melt away. What was this? No..she should be running. And screaming for someone to help her. Most people would help a Lady in distress. Or so she hoped. Pink lips pressed together slightly as if trying hard to remember something. She was trying to remember some moves Frederick had taught her to use if a guy should force himself onto her. Though - this nagging doubt that usually appeared with men - didn't appear with him. Either there was something going on - or she was losing it. Either way, she planned to get to the bottom of it. And fast too.
Her mouth though, flew open when he practically lunged at her. Dress and figure collapsed onto the ground with him over her, though, when she landed, she grunted slightly, and reached up to brush her hair out of her face. Maybe get it cut someday. Her mother would probably kill her, but it would keep it out of her face when she studied. Feeling everything, Emery couldn't decide whether to kiss this strange man, or to scream her head off. Her answer came to her though, when their eyes locked, his hazel ones to her's, and his lips suddenly met her's. This...this was what her stomach and heart had been attempting to tell her the last few seconds.
No one really believed in love at first sight, but how could you not? The thought of finding the one you're meant to be with by just looking at them. Most people were skeptical, she wasn't. Why couldn't you? Humans were powerful, fascinating beings anyway, maybe just some could find their true soul-mates. Or...no one really knew because they never found their true love. This could be the case, she presumed and had figured it out a few months back. That's why they all denied it, they weren't happy. They hadn't found the one they were built to be with in both lives, on earth and the afterlife. If you believed in that. Though this, this kiss, her world faded, and the only two things in it, was this strange man, and her.
Suddenly, her mind snapped back to reality, and brown eyes opened in panic. No...this wasn't allowed. She couldn't do this. There was Alexander Huntington courting her. She'd stabbed him in the back with this man she didn't even know. Immediately, her hands found his chest. Oh my...it was strong. Heat rushed through her, though she quickly managed to push him off enough, and inhaled sharply, soulful eyes looking to his bright ones silently, as if she was about to die. "What..." her voice trailed off. As long as Huntington didn't see this, she was in the clear. Her stomach churned, as she stayed there, digesting this, feeling rain droplets hit her softly. "Who are you?" she managed to inquire, her voice soft.

Lord Andrew Delaford The soft touch of the women's lips against his exhilirated Lord Andrew's senses. He felt his heart almost pause like the way it does before you take a big test. Then, just like that, the softness of the damsel's lips slowly vanished from his and the lady's hand struck his strong, broad chest.
"I'm sorry!" Andrew apoligized as he rolled himself off the young lady. He looked up at the girl, seeing what her whole self looked like. She was pretty. Her curly brunette locks framing her defined appearence. The lass' eyes sparkled, even in this rain-clouded atmosphere. Then, she spoke and her sweet voice echoed inside Lord Delaford's ears.
He snapped himself out of his daydreaming state and answered her questions. "Ah, yes, I forgot. Lord Andrew Delaford," he said bowing before the lady. His green eyes looked down at the lady's stained white dress. "I'm awfully sorry about your dress, but if you'd like, I could buy you a new one?" He suggested before standing to his feet.
Slowly and steadily, small, cold raindrops began to pierce the lord's skin. He mumbled a curse word underneath his breath as he grabbed the rein's of his gelding. [/blockquote]

EMERY -------------- Once his apology rang through her ears, he then rolled off her. Lungs expanded gratefully to have him off her, though she suddenly missed the warmth he'd provided. Eyes blinked rapidly as she looked up at the sky for a moment, before quickly standing up, and noticing her dress was completely ruined by now. Tugging at it, she growled, and cursed in Latin, before whistling for Beautiful Sin. Shifting softly, her eyes looked to his, and her heart pounded. His eyes were like a precious stone, they gleamed brightly, despite the otherwise nasty surroundings by the weather. The pouring rain let up, her hair sagging against her back, though she knew soon enough it would start curling like crazy if she didn't towel dry it. Nose wrinkled slightly, before a sneeze was brought on by Sin tickling her nose with her tail.
The mare snorted, and remained by the young woman's side, as she resisted the temptation to press her lips once more to his. Watching him bow, holding onto Sin's reins lightly, when his name, Lord Andrew Delaford came through, she paused, and allowed silence to envelop them till he spoke of buying her a new one. Regaining herself, she managed to say, rather swiftly, "No...it's all right. I have more." She looked away for a moment, trying to come up with something. Of all the people in Cheshire, he was the one who had to kiss her. He was the one she had immediate, passionate emotions for. Why not some farmer's son, or a merchant's son? No! It just had to be him. Her anger had her blood boil for a moment, though she immediately calmed herself, realizing she hadn't given him a name either.
Maybe....she quickly went with a friend's name, she knew the family of. Curtsying as best she could in the soaking rain, she replied, "Lady Emery Brightmore." But...the truth was, she wasn't a Brightmore, or any other family. The Norwood blood ran strong through her veins, and this...this boy dared to threaten her losing everything she had. But he was so gentle, kind and caring from what she could see from his movements so far. Looking to his gelding, she then looked to Sin, then back to him, and mused, "I'm sorry...but...I must go." Her heart was hitting her rib cage, telling her to stay, but her logical side was screaming at her to run, run! from him as fast as Sin could.
Emery looked back to Andrew Delaford silently. The family her family loved to hate. Though - why? She'd never been one for fussy fights with her parents, but if it affected her, and her siblings, she had to know, make sure to protect them from the vile adult politics if she could for as long as she could. The brunette eyed the blonde softly, as she then managed to get back onto Sin, pausing heavily. She didn't want to leave, but she couldn't be seen with a Delaford, or surely something would happen.
WORDS , 500 + TAGGED , andrew delaford NOTICES , -grins- i'm sure we can carry this thread on some more. and also, emery hasn't left yet, she's just gotten onto Sin...maybe he can pull her off or something...lol.

Lord Andrew Delaford Lord Delaford felt the temptation to the run after her, pull her down from the horse, and kiss her so passionately that it would put all the big-time movie kisses to shame. Though, he knew he couldn't do that. If anyone, anyone, found out he was kissing a girl he hadn't been courting, well, let's just say his parent's wouldn't be too happy.
'Lady Emery Brightmore', he mused. 'Such a pretty name to suit such a pretty girl.
He mounted Chase the Rain, which was kind of ironic now that he looked at it, since, well, it was raining out and his mother would be furious with him for not telling her where he was going. But that could wait, right now he had a lot more on his mind; especially the beautiful Emery Brightmore. [OOC; kinda finished this one up, wouldn't you say? =]
